PECO Residential Programs & Rebates

Smart Home Rebates – Homeowners can receive a rebate up to $1000 for qualifying HVAC equipment installed beginning June 1st, 2013.

Smart Gas Efficiency Upgrade – Upgrade your homeowner to a high efficiency furnace, boiler or water heater and they could receive a rebate up to $300.

Smart Natural Gas Conversion – Convert your homeowner to a natural gas furnace or boiler, and they could be eligible for a $400 rebate.

PECO Commercial Programs & Rebates

Smart Equipment Incentives – PECO offers financial incentives for retrofits that incorporate energy efficient measures for all major end uses. These incentives can help small businesses, commercial and industrial facilities, government, institutions and non-profit organizations.

Note: This program is currently in wait list status.

Smart Gas Efficiency Upgrade – Earn a $300 rebate by installing a high efficiency natural gas furnace or boiler.Smart Natural Gas Conversion – Businesses may be eligible for equipment credits when converting to natural gas from another heating fuel.

PPL Residential Rebates & Incentives

Energy Efficient Equipment Rebate - Homeowners can receive up to $200 back on their heat pump purchase when new energy efficient equipment is installed in an existing residence according to program parameters.

Audit & Weatherization Rebates - Two energy assessment options are available at reduced prices to help homeowners identify effective ways to reduce their home energy use, improve efficiency and save money.

New Construction Builder Rebate - Homes built after June 1st, 2013 are eligible for this rebate when a consumer installs new energy efficient equipment as part of new construction according to program parameters.

First Energy Companies Residential Energy Efficiency Programs

These programs offer homeowner rebates on a variety of products & services:

  • Up to $50 on the tune up of an existing central air conditioner or heat pump system
  • Up to $200 on the installation of a new high-efficiency central air conditioner
  • Up to $500 on the purchase of an air source heat pump
  • $200 on the purchase of a ductless mini-split heat pump
  • $600 on the installation of an ENERGY STAR® qualified geothermal heat pump
  • Up to $25 rebate on the purchase of a programmable thermostat

Current Marlyand utility companies participating in rebate programs include Baltimore Gas & Electric Company (BGE), Potomac Electric Power Company (Pepco), Delmarva Power & Light Company (Delmarva Power), The Potomac Edison Company (PE), Southern MD Electric Cooperative (SMECO).

BGE Smart EnergySavers Program - Provides a variety of rebates worth up to $1,150 per system to encourage homeowners to improve the energy efficiency of their heating and cooling equipment.

Potomac Edison Energy Efficiency Product Program - Residential customers of Potomac Edison can save up to $1,250 in rebates on heating and cooling systems for their homes.

  • $100 on the tune up of an existing central air conditioner or heat pump — bring your system back to peak operating efficiency to improve performance and energy savings; and you can earn an additional $40 rebate when the ECM furnace fan is replaced during the tune up.
  • Up to $1000 on the installation of a new high-efficiency central air conditioner (including ductless units) — depending on the efficiency rating, earn a rebate of $200 to $1000 and reduce your cooling costs by as much as 30 percent.***
  • Up to $1250 on the purchase of an air-to-air heat pump (including ductless units) — install an energy-efficient alternative to traditional furnaces and air conditioners to save energy all year long.

Heat Pump Tune-Up - Receive $90 for the tune-up of an existing heat pump.
Heat Pump Upgrade - Get up to $250 in rebates.
